Stephanie Jackson is the Development Associate for the Somaly Mam Foundation, where she handles all aspects of fundraising, special events and donor relations. Prior to joining SMF, Stephanie was an associate in the development and communication departments at The Rainforest Foundation. A California native, Stephanie got her BA in Urban and Environmental Policy from Occidental College and began working for the Bridgespan Group, a non-profit consulting firm, in their San Francisco office after graduating. Additional non-profit experience includes working with the Los Angeles Alliance for a New Economy and the Pachamama Alliance. Stephanie is an avid yogi, baker and adventure-seeker, and has traveled to over 25 countries.
With over twelve years of experience in nonprofit and consumer public relations and a Master’s Degree in Social Work, Alison is an experienced communications strategist who is passionate about human rights, social justice, and advancing the greater good. Throughout her career she has directed communications programs for leading nonprofit organizations such as The Lung Cancer Research Foundation, The Gay Men’s Health Crisis, and the Ghetto Film School as well as a number of consumer brands such as luxury goods retailer Chopard and Benjamin Moore Paints. Prior to joining the Somaly Mam Foundation she served as a Director at Good Scout Group, a cause marketing consultancy, where she provided counsel to nonprofit organizations on the development of fundraising and communications programs for clients including: The International Rescue Committee, Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF), and The Make-A Wish Foundation. She received a BS from Northeastern University and an MSW from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College.
Anastasia Plotnikova is the Communications Associate for the Somaly Mam Foundation and works on a variety of initiatives, including social media and online communications, assistance with media relations, branding, website content support, support of the foundation's online properties, and grant research.
She was previously the editor of Human Trafficking News for Hope for Justice, and has interned at Not for Sale and Strey Khmer, a women's advocacy NGO located in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Anastasia holds a bachelor's degree in International Political Economy from the University of Washington, where she also minored in law. She has been to over 21 countries, and has spent two summers working in the field with women and children in Cambodia. Originally from Seattle, Anastasia is a lover of coffee, the outdoors, and the very occasional rainy day.
Rigmor Schneider is a senior level executive with more than twenty years of management experience. Her special expertise is process analysis & improvement, and the efficient implementation of innovative programs. She leads by example and inspires associates by motivating and inspiring them to contribute their own unique skills and talents. Fosters a collaborative environment, building relations among employees, business units, donors and vendors, ultimately achieving objectives.
Ms Schneider has successfully navigated in diverse business sectors including the auto finance industry, healthcare focused language services, business service out-sourcing and non-profit.
Ms. Schneider holds an MBA from the McColl School of Business of Queens University, Charlotte North Carolina. She earned a language arts degree from St. Mikael’s Skolan, Mora, Sweden and she speaks English, Swedish and German.
Gina Reiss-Wilchins is a senior management and development professional with over two decades of experience in the non-profits sector on the local, state, and national levels. She has worked closely with community-based organizations, philanthropic institutions, celebrities, and UN agencies on a number of social justice causes. She is particularly concerned with the challenges faced by girls in at-risk communities. Fast Company selected Ms. Reiss-Wilchins among their 2012 “League of Extraordinary Women.”
Ms. Reiss-Wilchins currently serves as the Executive Director of the Somaly Mam Foundation, providing strategic direction and leadership for its work in the U.S. and Cambodia. Prior to joining SMF, she served as Director of the United Nations Foundation’s Girl Up Campaign. Ms. Reiss-Wilchins is a graduate of UCLA with an English literature/Women’s Studies degree. She lives in Washington, DC with her partner and her seven year old daughter.
Sreypov Chan is a brave survivor-advocate. She works to facilitate and coordinate all aspects of the voluntary network of Authority Intervention Groups (AIGs), and Advisory Central Committees (ACC) of Student Development Groups (SDGs). She ensures that these groups have sufficient support to operate effectively and thus make a positive impact in the fight against slavery. Sreypeou has successfully completed a three year training program with SMF's Voices For Change program.
Chhorvyvann Chit is SMF Cambodia's Financial Assistant, ensuring that all expenditures have been used properly for their intended purpose. She provides support for the management of financials, auditing, and ensuring that all transactions have supporting documents. Chhorvyvann graduated with a degree in Computer Science and Accounting. She has two years of experience in finance.
Chhaivoeurn Him is a brave survivor-advocate. Today, she serves as SMF Cambodia's Advocacy Officer and is a Voices For Change leader, standing up to help other survivors. She facilitates and coordinates all aspects of the volunteer network of Authority Intervention Groups (AIG’s), and Advisory Central Committees (ACC’s) of Student Development Groups, ensuring that these groups have sufficient support to operate effectively and thus make a positive impact in the fight against slavery. Chhaivoeurn has successfully completed a three year training program through SMF's Voices For Change program.
Phallika graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology. She has worked with Somaly Mam in combating human trafficking for nearly 10 years. She is responsible for managing the office, logistical support, and program assistance and in support of SMF Cambodia’s partnerships.
Sylor holds a certificate of Master Business Administrative from National University of Management, Phnom Penh. For the past seven years, she has worked closely with Somaly Mam on the fight against the exploitation of women and children. She is responsible for monitoring and development of program strategy, and for managing operations of the Somaly Mam Foundation in Cambodia.
Sreypich Loch is a brave survivor-advocate. Her major responsibilities include the coordination and facilitation of all aspects of SMF's regional radio program, titled Somaly's Family, including scheduling and recruiting guest-speakers, and hosting. Sreypich assists with program implementation of the local advocacy efforts. She has successfully completed a three year training program through SMF's Voices For Change program.
Kimleng Meas is assistant to the Voices for Change Manager, Sina Vann, to ensure the Voices for Changes members are empowered through education and preparation for economic independence. She graduated with a Bachelor of English Literacy in Cambodia and a Diploma of Education from Indonesia. Kimleng has more than 5 years' experiences in social work and education.
Chhorvirith Theng is SMF Cambodia's Program Director, managing advocacy, survivor and educational programs. He is accountable for ensuring that all SMF programs are operating in an efficient manner and generate positive measurable results. Chhorvirith graduated with Master of Arts of Public Policy Colleges of Social Science, University of Cambodia (UC). Chhorvirith is a Policy and Program Management Professional with more than 20 years of experiences. More than 10 years of which has been working on the promoting and implementing the UNCRC Framework: child rights/child protection (violation of children and women), community development including vulnerable people and children in difficult circumstances of human trafficking, child labour and sexual exploitation and at risk migration.
Socheara works with advocacy-related volunteer networks at the local level, and in managing advocacy campaigns in communities. He provides advocacy and presentation skills to Voices for Change members. Socheara holds five years' experiences in project management and direct fieldwork with victims and survivors.
Hayley is responsible for the development and implementation of SMF's beneficiary protection policies, gender equality promotion, and communications support. She has 7 years experience in women's rights and human rights at AFESIP Cambodia, the Burmese Women's Union, and Amnesty International UK, and prior experience in events management. Hayley has a BA in Women's Studies from Flinders University, Australia, and a certificate in Women's Human Rights Law from the London School of Economics.
Sina is a former victim of sex slavery. After her own life experiences, she has chosen to follow the lead of Somaly Mam, and has worked to combat human trafficking for the past 10 years. She is an advocate survivor who stands up to speak on behalf of victims and survivors around the world. Sina works directly with victims and survivors in the field, and co-manages the SMF's Voices for Change survivor leadership program. Sina was Winner of the 2009 Frederick Douglass Awards by Free the Slaves, a nonprofit anti-trafficking organization based in Washington DC.
